The Sweet Art of Storytelling: Crafting The Smorriors

In my advanced illustration college course, I was tasked with illustrating a single character, which while eating a vending machine pop-tart, the idea sprung into my mind that it'd have to be s'mores related. This initial character design expanded into the creation of four distinct s'mores-themed characters, each with its own unique personality and backstory. The playful concept quickly evolved as I developed these characters further, culminating in a mock graphic novel for the class final. The project not only showcased my illustration skills but also sparked a deeper passion for storytelling through visual art.

Inspired by this experience, I am now dedicated to turning The Smorriors into a full-fledged graphic novel. This personal passion project will expand on the s'mores-themed characters and their adventures, blending humor, fantasy, and creative illustration to craft a compelling narrative. With the foundation laid during my course, I am excited to continue developing this project and bring the world of The Smorriors to life through detailed illustrations and an engaging story.
